Buses and Trains<\/h3>\n

The train <\/strong>is the best way to get to Pisa, Florence and Siena, where driving is stressful and parking is difficult (and expensive). From Empoli station, which is also linked to the city\u2019s hamlets through the local public transportation network, you can reach these three cities in 30, 40 and 60 minutes, respectively.<\/p>\n

The other destinations in the Empolese Valdelsa region (Cerreto Guidi, Fucecchio, Montespertoli, Castelfiorentino, Certaldo, Gambassi Terme, Montaione, Montelupo Fiorentino, Vinci) can be easily reached by bus <\/strong>from Empoli For information about suburban bus routes, please visit at-bus.it <\/a> <\/p>\n

Car and Motorcycle<\/h3>\n

Travelling by car or motorcycle along the panoramic country roads, stopping at every curve to take a picture-postcard photo of the iconic Tuscan landscape, is doubtless one of the simplest and most convenient ways to experience Empoli and its environs. The arterial road FI-PI-LI (Florence-Pisa-Livorno) connects Empoli to Pisa and Florence and, further on, the Pisa and Livorno coast.<\/p>\n

The charming villages of Valdelsa and famous destinations like San Gimignano and Volterra are also easy to reach, driving just a few kilometres on Strada Statale 429.<\/p>\n

Lastly, for those coming from nearby or staying in the countryside, there is ample free and paid parking in the Empoli city centre and the area of the sports facilities around the Stadio Castellani.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

On Foot and By Bike<\/h3>\n

The Empoli city centre is easily reached on foot from the train station and bus terminal (300 metres).<\/p>\n

The area of the sports facilities around the Stadio Castellani, where you will also find the Pala Aramini (sports centre), the Piscine Comunali (public pool) and the Parco di Serravalle (a vast park), is linked to the historic town centre and the station by a network of bike paths.<\/p>\n

You can also enjoy a beautiful stretch of the Ciclopista dell\u2019Arno bike path (about 10 km), walking or biking along the Arno River. The Empoli segment of this bike path is mostly flat and paved, following the riverbank and leading to the border between Empoli and San Miniato at Ponte a Elsa and the Parco dell\u2019Ambrogiana, a short walk from the centre of Montelupo Fiorentino.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
